What do I wear? 

Dressage

  • Helmet can be any color with discreet accents

    • Long hair should be kept tidy with a hairnet

  • Intermediate and Advanced require jacket that may be any solid color, tweed, or pinstripe

  • Jackets are not required at Preliminary and below.

  • Shirts may be any color with sleeves and tucked into riding breeches

  • Stock tie with pin, or choker, or tie

  • Light colored (beige or white) riding breeches

  • Riding boots (black, brown, or other dark hue) tall or with matching leather half chaps permitted

    • Juniors may wear jodhpur boots and garter straps

  • Gloves (black, tan, beige or white)

  • Spurs and or a dressage whip if necessary

Cross-Country

  • Light-weight clothing is appropriate for this phase

  • A helmet of any color that meets or surpasses ASTM/SEI standards for equestrian use

  • Safety Vest (recommended to pass or surpass current ASTM standard)

  • Breeches of any color

  • A shirt of any color, but must have sleeves

  • Medical armband or bracelet

  • Gloves (not required) in any color

  • Riding boots (black, brown, or other dark hue) tall or with matching leather half chaps permitted

  • Spurs and a crop, if necessary

  • Stopwatch (not required)

  • Pinny Number/Pinny holder

Show Jumping

  • A helmet (predominantly black or dark blue) that meets or surpasses ASTM/SEI standards for equestrian use

    • Long hair should be kept tidy with a hairnet

  • Intermediate and Advanced require jacket that may be any solid color, tweed, or pinstripe

  • Jackets are not required at Preliminary and below

  • Shirts may be any color with sleeves and tucked into riding breeches 

  • Stock tie with pin, or choker, or tie

  • Light colored (beige or white) riding breeches

  • Black or brown tall riding boots

  • Medical armband or bracelet
